The filters worked fine with version 2011 as I recall. Perhaps you have set an impossible filter, so the first step would be to revert to default settings, so that you do see all of the styles, and then add a filter.
I think this is what Peter means ("2 Type ev" for filtering by Even example shown):

Thanks Peter. I don't know what is wrong. I have reverted to default settings. Then I added a 'possible filter', Swing/Even = Even. Nothing shows up!!!
Before I apply a filter I have 2788 total styles showing, at the left (top). Interestingly, in the filter pop-up, at the top it says Total Styles = 7844.

Thanks VT for your snapshot instructions. I tried them but after I applied a filter for '2 Type ev', nothing showed up in the filter! In my case BIAB 2011, I have to choose between Swing and Even.
Presumably you've done a rebuild, and presumably these styles all exist in your bb folder??

I was going to do a re-build as one of my previous attempts at trouble-shooting this, but the pop up said it should be done when new styles are added etc. Since I didn't add any new styles I didn't go through with it.
