At first I just thought someone was upset that they had a bad christmas. But it does appear there is a important point being expressed.
Notation is important! Just as important as the "backing tracks". Notation is how one musician communicates and documents to another musicaian about what is being played. So while I also do not want the company to spread itself too thin and not focus on what it does best, it is my hope that notation gets some love in 2014.
PGMusic - here is an option - look at the old MusEdit Notation Software which is now open-sourced and availble to anyone to work with. It was great at notation - really did it all! What would it take to incorporate some of that code into BIAB?

Just a question about this statement: Musescore opens BIAB files and does import the chords. As far as I know, it is the only notation program that does, and it's important the BIAB community knows and is not confused by this.
I realize you have been talking about notation shortcomings, so could you please elaborate what you meant, and explain why you are entering chords twice? Are you referring to chord symbols, or guitar chord diagrams? Thanks.
Thanks very much Matt for this. I did not know I could import BIAB files into Musescore. It would have saved me a fair bit of time had I known. I'm fairly new to Musescore, so this will be great going forward. Yes I was referring to the chord symbols.

As Dave said just above, we've been through this discussion before. I remember the discussions though not always who participated. It's important to continue to get the word out about MuseScore reading BIAB files including chord symbols.
MuseScore can also export Music XML, so in theory, you could go from there to another notation program. In practice, it's not working well, but at least it's a start.

We can all spin our wheels with notation and the various options we have to print our music. What is needed, I think, is for PGMusic to join the party. This whole conversation will end, once we know what we can expect.
Perhaps a note to all the beta-testers to look out for notation enhancements with the next release, and to ask why, if they are not included.
I did have a great Christmas, but it would have been so much better, if BIAB had improved notation in 2014, but I have been saying that for the last 10 years. Here's hoping!
