The tracks are hidden because they are minimized. Click the little arrow at left end of these tracks to see the three different display modes. Alternatively, in 2014 you can grab the bottom of the track waveform display and drag it down.

The other issue sounds like either drivers, resources, bitrate mismatch or simply not waiting for Realband to finish loading up.

Suggestions before re-installing:
Look at the CPU meter and wait until it settles down to almost zero before hitting play. Realband can appear ready to go when it is still loading things.

Try using MME drivers as opposed to ASIO (or vice versa) some systems work better with one than the other. Options-Preferences-Audio tab, then click the Drivers button.

If you have FX loaded, try eliminating them one at a time to see if one of the FX is causing this. Sometimes certin FX don't play nice on a given system.
