You found that the mic in the lappy was on...... that would be the source of mysterious noise. It will give a hollow sound to the recording..... glad you found it.

Just listened to the latest post from you. Much better with some reverb on the vocals.

Looks like what you have (gear wise) will work OK for you now that you have sorted out a few of the bigger nits.

use reverb on the vocal..... CHECK

be sure to disable the on board mic.......CHECK
