For 1) above you may need to do the following steps, depending on your setup in realband..

Highlight the track you want to use
Make it a stereo audio track (Right-Click and select Track Type=Stereo Audio; I suggest this because the effects will probably be available in stereo and it has to be an audio track type)
Click the little down arrow on the left end and select Edit DX FX
The very top drop down option is labeled Track (this is the on by itself that you don't usually touch)
Use it to select Input Monitor (way down at the bottom)

Now you can insert the FX you want to use down in the other 4 slots below while in that window.

Rog's number 2 is usually number 1 when I explain the steps, but it should work either way, I think. I enable the feature before implementing it. ROG gets it set up, then implements it. I suppose either way would work and be personal preference.
