I use the latest version of Realband with a simple L+R USB/Asio (Behringer) Sound Interface on Windows 7. My audio input comes from a external Mixer and the output goes also back to this Mixer and then to the Loudspeakers.
I tried to use the Realband built in FX posibilities direct for the input stream going to the output (without or with recording). I found until now no way to do this. Is there an easy way to accomplish that?
The Audio settings allow to copy the input to the output, but I found no way to process it inbetween with the effects.

Hi Koloman.
You need to do two things -
1) Load the effects you want to use into the INPUT MONITOR. To do this, click on the DXi button on the toolbar and in the TRACK slot at the top scroll down to the last entry which should be INPUT MONITOR INSERT. You can then enter up to four effects into the remaining slots.
2) Go to AUDIO PREFERENCES and check the box at the top right labelled ENABLE INPUT MONITOR. Make sure you don't have the windows mixer set to record the stereo output, or you'll get a feedback loop.
OK, that should do it.

For 1) above you may need to do the following steps, depending on your setup in realband..
Highlight the track you want to use
Make it a stereo audio track (Right-Click and select Track Type=Stereo Audio; I suggest this because the effects will probably be available in stereo and it has to be an audio track type)
Click the little down arrow on the left end and select Edit DX FX
The very top drop down option is labeled Track (this is the on by itself that you don't usually touch)
Use it to select Input Monitor (way down at the bottom)
Now you can insert the FX you want to use down in the other 4 slots below while in that window.

Rog's number 2 is usually number 1 when I explain the steps, but it should work either way, I think. I enable the feature before implementing it. ROG gets it set up, then implements it. I suppose either way would work and be personal preference.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Hi rharv. I got the impression My audio input comes from a external Mixer and the output goes also back to this Mixer and then to the Loudspeakers. that Koloman just wanted to stream audio through RB and add effects in real time. If I'm right, surely he would just use the input monitor and wouldn't have to bother about selecting tracks and track types? ROG.

Thanks for Your quick answer.
It works now perfectly for me.
I use it to train some Sax solos before recording and wanted to have some better sound in my "dry" music room.
