Hi Mike,

It is funny as I went from Sonar 5 to Sonar X1. I have since upgraded to X3d. I hated X1, somewhat liked X2 but thus far X3d is the best. It is also rock solid on my system. Yes it does take a long time to DL.

My normal workflow is to do a rough draft in BiaB then bring that over to X3d to polish the song, i.e. record other part(s), choose MIDI sound sources, possibly modify MIDI and RT tracks, and finally mix everything.

Notice that I said normal workflow. Sometimes I will come up with something in Sonar, for example a chord progression or a guitar riff, go to BiaB to come up with a backing track(s) then go back to Sonar to polish the song.

Good luck and have fun.

The fitness trainer asked me, "What kind of a squat are you accustomed to doing?" I said, "Diddly."
