Hi Kevin,

I personally thought that with X1 we were all beta testers. I had a ton of problems with X1. It keep losing my audio interface (fixed in X2) and it would mysteriously crash on me (fixed in X3). There were some other problems that I can't recall right now. Whoops just thought of one; after working with Sonar 5 for so long changing over to X1 was a pain. As you know everything was changed, even the hot keys!

X2 was more stable but still an occasional crash. X2 was a transitional piece of software that morphed into X3. Less problems than X1 but still problems with no corporate evolvement on the forums.

X3 is rock solid. I don’t want to jinx myself but I have never had a crash yet. The Smart tool is improved. It has take lanes for comping, although I haven’t used these yet. In fact a lot of the new stuff I haven’t had time to mess with yet. But the biggest difference IMO is the fact that Gibson bought Cakewalk from Roland and has representatives on the forums. Fixes are coming rapidly, in fact they are almost as good as PGMusic now for support.

There are other improvements that I can’t remember right now (CRS) and I have to run. If I think of some others I will let you know but I’m sure others will join this thread with better answers than mine.

The fitness trainer asked me, "What kind of a squat are you accustomed to doing?" I said, "Diddly."
