I've never used this option (in fact, wasn't aware of it until your post). I suspect that it's used to set the original tempo. So, when the song is 85 bpm, double check that this is set to 85 bpm. Then, when you change to 90 bpm, see if the Audio automatically stretches. (I'll try this out a little later today and see what happens.)

If it doesn't stretch, it would be possible to save the audio as a Performance Track, load that Performance track into a DAW and, if the DAW has stretching facilities (such as Reaper) then stretch the performance track to match BIAB.

That being said, be aware that stretch audio will be of limited use because once the tempo changes too much, the quality of the audio is reduced drastically because audio artifacts creep in.
