In the meantime, if you have a look through this thread (here's the link), and scroll about 1/3 of the way down, you'll see where I talk about checking the default directory for Sampletank, midi channels and assigning instruments to the midi various midi channels. This should help give a little more insight. Also, if the standalone version is running when you try to run the VST/DXi in BIAB, that might cause some interference, too.
