Along with the other ideas already put forth, you might find styles that are categorized outside of the Ballad moniker, so don't give up on the other styles if you don't find the one you want in Ballads. You never know what you might find. exactly.... I often use a rock style, even a hard rock style for my country tunes. If you think that's just weird.... well, have a listen to a few of them and see if you can figure out the basic style that was used as a foundation for the songs.....
