Hi all,

I just installed 2014. Previously I had BB in the Program Files folder so I moved it to C and now get a 'Can't find style C:\Program Files\BB\' message every time I open BIAB.

Any way of getting rid?

Thanks
M

Of couse, just change the place BIAB is looking for the real tracks in preferences-realtracks

First, that was a good move to get it out of your Program Files folder.

Did you reinstall, or just copy the files (then delete the old folder)?

I don't think that error message is caused by the location of the RealTracks. That's a different error.

You could always just give PG Music Support a call. They can even take remote control of your PC and see what's up.

Opps, looks like I read that wrong. Oh well, best of intentions here.

No, Dan, you might be right - don't give up. I don't want to become another poster who ends most threads with their comments.

I think this is a Windows-related problem, though. I have some ideas, but I'm always hesitant to raise them when there is the potential for someone to lose files or mess things up if they aren't fluent with modifying file locations and rights.

Thanks for the replies guys. I moved the folder and changed the RealDrums and RealTracks locations straight away.

Actually, I think it's because the options default was to use the previous style, which was in the old folder. I've chosen a new style and the message has disappeared :-) Simples!

Cheers
M

Does this mean that you can install to the default location and then if you wanted just select a different folder on a different drive and BIAB will move the files from C to D by itself?

Guys,

Am I allowed to run BIAB from the D data drive?

Just upgraded to a larger disk in my laptop...

Cheers

Hi Mus, yes, certainly.

The method that most of us use is to copy everything from one drive to the other (e.g. copy C:\bb\ to D:\bb), including sub folders. Then when you are confident that the copy has completed OK, you can safely delete \bb\... from the original (C:) drive.

You may wish to do the same with your RealBand folder

Make sure to reassign search location inside the program(s), and also reassign the location that the desktop icons point to.

Cool! So no reinstallation of the program. I'll give it a go.

Once I have swapped out the data disk I plan to clean install Win 7 on the C drive too. Can I just install the 2014 BIAB program upgrade and then I'll be golden?

Thanks
M
