Granted could be AC ground loop and agree that power line conditioner unlikely to help (this issue), but the Sonic Cell uses a wall wart for 9V DC input so the "3 to 2" prong trick also probably doesn't help and based on how Bob explains issue: when analog L/R outs are connected (to mixer? to PC?), sans USB cable inserted, no noise - is that correct Bob? Is this also sans 5-pin MIDI cables? That is, if 5 PIN MIDI cables hooked between Sonic Cell and PC, and Sonic Cell analog outs are connected to mixer - no noise?

Also did this just start - or has it always done this?

I'm just suggesting Bob tries some freebie things (cable swaps, swap out 9V DC wall wart if able,..) before plunking down $ for Line Level Audio Isolation Transformers.

And as some really "out there" trouble shooting this noise is independent of where input level pot on back of unit is set as well as independent of where mic/guitar/line switch is set? Yes these are dumb items to look at - just more troubleshooting/isolating.
