Utilizzo da molto tempo BIAB windows e sto ipotizzando la migrazione del mio ambiente di lavoro da windows a mac. Qualcuno di voi l'ha affrontata? Si va incontro a problemi di compatibilità sui propri user file .mgx o altri? Sono stato messo a conoscenza che in alternativa all'acquisto di BIAB mac per andare nel nuovo ambiente si può ricorrere a software di emulazione dell'ambiente windows in mac, così da ritrovarsi nel nuovo ambiente con la propria copia di BIAB windows in esecuzione, senza alcun problema di migrazione applicativa. Qualcuno di voi ne ha fatto l'esperienza? Grazie e buon divertimento a tutti.
p.s.: io utilizzo BIAB per predisporre, anche con editing step-by-step, degli user file, che poi utilizzo in esecuzioni "live" per arricchire queste ultime, potendo contare contemporaneamente "live" sulla disponibilità di spartiti e testi;
vorrei trasportare questa situazione in BIAB mac senza dover perdere tutto il lavoro fin qui fatto.

Io li uso entrambi.
Per cui ti posso dire che, pur essendoci ancora diverse differenze fra le versioni per mac e per Windows, quello che hai prodotto con la versione per windows funziona nella versione per Mac ultima, in generale.
Devi però tenere presente che i package non sono uguali e che, ad esempio, le RealTracks per Windows non sono riutilizzabili nella versione per Mac. Se le usi, dovrai ricomprare anche loro.
Io comunque uso la versione per Windows su mac, avendo installato Bootcamp per avere anche l'ambiente Windows sul mio mac mini. Biab gira perfettamente su questo (intendo la versione Windows).
Quindi, qualunque scelta farai funzionerá egregiamente.

Ti ringrazio molto; questo aspetto della migrazione della base dati BIAB da windows a mac è quello che più mi preoccupa nell'ipotizzare questa evoluzione di ambiente: la mancanza totale di conoscenze mac mi fa forse temere scenari più complessi di quanto poi non si minifestino in realtà.
