Hi Shannon. BIAB assumes that one has at least a rudimentary knowledge of harmony and chord structure. That's why there's no explanation of what comprises say a C7+ chord. The majority of people who use BIAB and are successful with it have that rudimentary knowledge. This is not to drive you away from BIAB, rather to encourage you to learn as much as you can about music theory.
