I've heard some pretty excellent playing on oil-can guitars. They are very cool!

Of course, if we're going to use words to describe tone the way we did in the other thread, I guess the tone from the shortbread guitar would be "sweet", whereas the oil-can guitar would definitely be "smooth" and "warm"... Unless the oil just came out of my truck, where the tone would instead be "chunky" with little bits of 2nd gear in
