First the best we all have are the Realtrack, and Realdrums!
There is more flexibility in them than meets the eye.

These are not necessarily the best, but are decent sounding.
Konkakt would be a choice for me, but $$$. And there are so many
others. Genre of what you are creating would affect your direction
in obtaining VSTi's.

Have SampleTank 2.5 like most of us. Also have their full library.
Also their siblings, Miroslav Philharmonik, Sonik Synth 2, Samplemoog, SampleTron, Dimension Pro, Rapture, Addictive Drums, Addictive keys, Melodyne Essentials, ProteousVX, plus 8-10 more that came with Sonar X series DAW. Including 50 Plus gig of instruments, samples,
FX, etc.

And all last fall, after purchasing, rough times here at homestead.
Wrinkles are now smoothed and slowly get back into the "groove" pun
intended.

Current favorites, albeit not used them all to their depth are
Addictve Keys, Philharmonik, Rapture, Sonik Synth2 ,
Dimension Pro. Some for their abilities to do ensembles.
Not Keys of course. Ensembles for genre want to create are fantastic to use.

All of the above mentioned EAT resources. With 32bit machine and
many tracks, have to build couple of times. Do have 64bit machine
and Sonar 64 bit on side of my plate.

The 2014 Everything Pak has so much good stuff just packed into it
am getting back into learning more about it.

Reasoning behind about 3/4+ of the purchases were ridiculously low
pricing mid to late 2013.

Here sits a 70 year old kid in a giant candy store. And also so lucky.
