Hi,
I just upgraded from BIAB 2006 to BIAB 2009 and I am absolutely stunned
by the great audio quality of the real tracks. It really sounds like
a real band.
Anyway, is there any way to assign a realtrack to the melody? It
sounds very strange to have a squeeky midi melody over the
great realtrack backing.

P.S.: I am using the real book file collection which includes midi
melodies.

No, but with a good midi engine this is typically not too big a deal. What are you using to produce your melody sounds.

You could "kill/erase" the midi melody part if that was not important to have it with a wonderful RealTrack

This does not produce very good sounds you might be better off to use sound canvse, try out forte, and/or explore other options.

Hi,
Try using VSC DXi that comes with many of the BIAB disc's - MS GS Wavetable is a light version of the original VSC
Only use the VSC DXi version

Via right click on the melody instrument selecting 'Add/Remove RealTracks ...' you'll open up the 'Assign RealTracks to Track' dialog - just take your pick. This does *not* turn any melody notes sitting on the melody track into real instruments, though.
