Nice Post PG. My 'Songs' folder is called 'Projects' but I use the same method. I save all files into a sub folder of that with the song name. This includes BIAB, RB, Adobe Audition files. I also use MS Excel for my song notes and calculations and save those to the folder as well as Notepad text files.

In addition to what you said, I put a double digit number in front of the song name folder so they are listed in order of creation.

Folder name examples:

01 - My first dumb song
02 - Another good song
03 - The chart topper song

So when I start a new song, I simply increment the number at the front of the folder name.

I guess you could use the date instead of numbers too, ie 2014-02-28. Those would stay alphabetical by creation date.
