A lot of talent on this one!
First, happy (belated) birthday to 2 fine musicians/songwriters!
This one meets up to what I have come to expect from you guys: a first rate effort! Well crafted lyrics, and as usual, the vocals shine. Tommy, your guitar solos are impeccably tasty for this one.
I'm listening with buds for comfort, and it all sounds good to me.

Gonna sneak in here with a comment before Janice weighs in. Hey be careful 'cause Janice's deep south accent is beginning to peek through. I don’t have and never used a melo-whatchamaycallit pitch corrector but I might have to shop around for one of them de-drawlers.
Bud
PS Both versions are beautiful!

congrats on a great colab!
mix wise: everything is in the pocket, but I especially love the kick and snare, I am just amazed at how you get them so articulate, grounding the groove yet sitting in the mix...
great song all around!

Dean - thanks for the listen - can't imagine that I could ever get "over your head"... you seem to have stored an encyclopedia up there sometimes..
Bob - appreciate the listen and comments...
Trevor - thanks for dropping by - always appreciate it.
Guenter - Thanks for all of that. "He never got used to it." - got a chuckle out of that...

Josie - thanks. (and we do appreciate the earlier thoughts)
Greg - thanks for stopping in for a listen.
Robert - thanks for all those nice words...
Alyn - Thanks - always good to know something "sticks". Appreciate the listen..
Herb - thanks for the comments. We've addressed the sibilance issues - a combination of some post processing I did on the vocals and the mastering processing on top of that that just brought out the highs too much. There was never a compressor problem - that was just how the 2 panned acoustic guitars tracks sounded in headphones. As you noted previously, it was only evident using phones. I addressed that as well.

It’s all been said!
All I can add is you should be very proud of this one and why aren’t you guys/gal under contract? This is better than most of the songs on the radio right now!

Very nice. Well better than that actually. Particularly enjoyed the dynamics in the chorus and the lead guitar. Happy birthdays.

dani - thanks! The birthday song was a delight! Is that you playing the guitar?
Steve - thanks for dropping by for a listen. hope you are doing well (and preparing your next song!)...
Bud - careful... those de-drawlers can add artifacts!..
Lawrence - thanks. On some songs, I will add a snare track and a kick track over the RT drum track so I have control over them. But I did not do that on this one - it was just the RT with a default FX chain in Studio One for a drum group - adds an EQ with a bump at 50 Hz (for the kick) and another about 3k Hz that catches the snare. Then there is a multiband dynamics that tweaks the low, low-mid and mid that is, no doubt, helping to accentuate those as well (I have not touched those to see exactly what they do - I have only recently begun using Studio One and in this case when I tried that preset to see what it did, it seemed to work without any further knob turning).

Hey team.
Late as usual, but managed to get in a listen tonight.
Great song! Floyd - I definitely notice something new in the way your sound is getting "bigger" on the most recent tracks. It sounds very professional and commercial and the lift that the voices give it where the chorus comes in is terrific. I also think it's good the way it then drops down again instead of just powering through - a nice touch.
Lovely guitar work, but for me, the vocals from you and Janice are superb and make the song what it is. I've only picked up on the new mix, but it sounds as good as ever to me.
Going back for a second dose.
ROG.

Joanne - thank you - from the lot of us!
ROG - thanks - I was trying to make this have a good full sound in the chorus - I processed the harmonies more than I typically do - a touch more reverb on some a delay on some - so they blend into a big chorus. And I have been getting a little fuller sound lately. I think a big part of it is the combination of the vocals and the sound of Tom's guitar mixed up together. Plus Tom's touch in the mastering phase - he's been getting a good big sound these days - so that's a big part of it, too...
Josie - thanks again....

I just wanted to check back in and thank all the listeners and those who took the time to comment. We were able to use some of the constructive criticism to help us tweak a few things and make it a better production. This was only the second time I have ever co-written anything and floyd made it easy. Thanks again to Janice and Bud. The overall experience of this was more than I could have hoped for. Tom

I've been busy elsewhere, way behind in listening. So, naturally, all of the best adjectives and accolades are taken:) And I am taken with this performance!
Great song and a super job by all.
That guitar is filled with emotion, the vocals are solid and tight. Thanks for sharing your talents.
Happy Birthday(s).

I am now listening to this work of art on my stereo and it is top notch, each one of my 4 speakers cost about $1,200.00 a piece and my stereo was very expensive also. The widening sound is just out of this world. I am going to listen to it through headphones in my Walkman CD player up on 10 and see if I get the same results. This could be hit. My GOD you guys niceeeee. Jobbbbb.
