Scott,
I listened to the six songs you presently have posted. Great efforts all. I especially like Searchin' For A Song and Little Cabin on Big Stone Lake.
You do a really good job recording your voice and your harmony voice blends well with your lead singer voice.

Great write Scott. Also loved your story about running screaming through the neighbourhood. I felt the same when I started with BIAB a year and a half ago. Absolutely love your voice.

Nice job.... yeah I get the whole Marty Robbins feel from this.
I like it. Marty Robbins, thanks:) Others said that and I was equally shocked. Hi Oleman,
Another good one here! Keep em coming.
Steve
Thank you Steve. Scott,

You do a really good job recording your voice and your harmony voice blends well with your lead singer voice. Wow. Thank you Jim. I just posted a remix of 'Song Somwhere' on Soundcloud. Great write Scott. Also loved your story about running screaming through the neighbourhood. I felt the same when I started with BIAB a year and a half ago. Absolutely love your voice. Thank you so much Josie. BIAB is perfect for us song-slingers:) When I heard the steel RT I was floored. I added too many RT's on some songs, but am getting that under control now I think, with suggestions from others. I have a new mastering plug-in and am remixing the few songs I've uploaded. This song still needs a remix. This version is pre-Ozone and still needs a remix. Then planning to get back to posting new stuff.

nice job. It is so easy to over do the RT's because they all sound so good. In the end, though, restraint and dynamics rule the day. Gotta know what to leave in and what to leave out. ... and that knowledge only comes through massive experimentation.
This is a good sounding song and you mixed your vocals in quite well -- although I am a fan of sometimes panning the harmony vocals (sometimes!). I enjoyed it.

The song link takes me to soundclick's opening page and the url on my browser doesn't show anything but soundclick.com?? However, I was able to get to the song via the links in your signature.
floyd really nailed the description of this song. Hard to add to it. From our perspective it's a fine presentation of the type of country music that Janice and I miss greatly. Fortunately, via youtube and other sources one can still find it if you're diligent. This song is a great example of the genre lyrically and vocally and the mix is simply spot on. We much enjoyed it!

Our albums and singles are on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Pandora and more. If interested search on Janice Merritt. Thanks! Our Videos

As I have the greatest respect for your music, your craft, and your opinions, I am at a loss over your compliments. Thank you. Confession time: This was posted a while back, but a couple of folks just recently listened and commented.... I did remix the original, hence the busted link, and this is it, but I am/was planning to remix/master with Ozone. But, given the feedback, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' might serve best:)

Hi Oleman,
I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get hear this. I have to say that I'm really glad I didn't miss it. It's a fantastic write and an equally fantastic production. You sure have the knack for this genre.
I'm going back for a replay.
All the best, Noel

Thank you so much Noel. This thread was renewed after somebody commented on it, but the mix still needed some work I think. The newest version of it is here: https://soundcloud.com/blushasta-music/one-of-those-daysAnyway, I am thrilled that you like the song:)
