Go to File menu, Print Multiple Songs.

Does the dialog box window name say "Stopped" after Print Multiple Song Status?

Does the program crash if you click on the Change Directory button in the upper right of that dialog box?

Thanks.

No problems here. I did have to press Stop after the printing. Change Directory worked fine.

Thank you both for checking.

Let's narrow it down. I have Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit. Build #381 of BIAB. Anyone else with that configuration, please test. Thanks!

Then if someone with my setup CAN do this, it will be time to diagnose in a different direction.

By the way, I was trying to do this to answer a question by a new poster, Hans J. K. (see Shout) to batch convert MGUs to PDFs.

Hi Matt,

I have that same configuration BUT running Audiophile with 381 from an external drive.

The dialog box does say "Stopped" after Print Multiple Song Status.

The program did not crash when I clicked on the Change Directory button. I was able to select a new file containing many Songs and start the printing. The STOP button worked fine also grin since I did not want to waste too much paper.

However, I should point out that although I run BiaB from the external E drive, my files are all on the main hard drive "C" stored in "Libraries" under "Music", which always seems to me to be the best way of setting things up. But it may be different to your full setup and perhaps the reason it worked for me.

Hi Matt I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64, Biab 381, Core i7

I set the printer to PDFCreator, which works flawlessly.

I then Selected Print Multiple Songs

Each page showed the preview Screen, and I clicked on the Print button

It displayed every page between 6 and 8 times, and eventually after many prints the following A/V (after first A/V message, the same A/V occurred many times)

Not one PDF file was created during the entire process

I had to use Task Manager to close the program.

After a restart, I opened the dialog and pressed change directory, no crash at that point. It opened a file selection dialog and allowed me to change.

My findings:

Doesn't printing to PDF require each file to be physically named during the course of saving?

Well, I think I stumbled on something alright. Just not sure what.

Thank you again.

I think PG Music should check out this thread.

Good point Noel, but it didn't ever bring up the file name request dialog so I presume it never got to the point of launching the print engine. However, with this in mind, I tried again with a different printer (A4 / A3 laser) and got a slightly unexpected result.

To save trees, I selected S and T as the start and end file names, it printed two songs starting with S which was correct, and no songs starting with T (there should have been 10)

At the end the caption showed "Multiple Songs Printout Completed"
I then changed the Directory, and it didn't crash but the caption changed to Stopped
