I know that you can import audio into BB from any source as long as it is a wave or MP3. BB can be used to determine the chords, key, and tempo and will attempt to render the chords. Accuracy is sometimes not exactly accurate..... close many times, but you may have to tweek it a bit.

Generally speaking though, no.... you don't import into BB from a DAW except for that specific purpose.

As has been said, most of the folks here use BB as the starting point in the musical creation process. We compose and write in BB and then export OUT to Real band (which is a DAW) and into other DAW's for more finishing kinds of work on the song.

2005 is a very old version but for the price....hey, a great way to get started and see if the program actually works the way you want it to before jumping in to the 2014 version. When you do make that jump to 2014 you will be amazed at the huge increase in quality and styles and everything else as well that is in this 14 version.

Add nothing that adds nothing to the music.
You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both.

The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.
