There is a "lead" or solo generator in BB. I rarely use it except out of curiosity.

I use BB as a writing tool to compose the song and get the tempo, key, and structure correct.

I use Real Band for generating all the tracks.

In Real band, the real tracks give you the choice between rhythm or solo tracks.

Just grab one of the ones marked "solo" to add "lead" parts and fills to the songs.

Open the song file in Real band, then select a track in it's entirety then click on an unused track and generate a real track from the drop down.....

scroll down the list until you reach "guitar" then scan the rhythm/solo column and find a solo guitar RT that fits the tempo.

click it and let it generate and then listen. I don't think 12.5 has the auto-demo function that 2014 has..... If it doesn't work like you want, simply delete it and try another track. When you go to regenerate a new track for the second time, your previous selection will still be highlighted saving you time to scroll down and find where you were.

I use envelopes to bring the parts in and out in my DAW.....and BTW: Real Band is a DAW.
