I think I have solved my problem with HD storage on the MS-Surface Pro 2: • 128GB internal drive • 64 GB micro SD card • And Now – 1 TB 7200RPM USB 3.0 Seagate Expansion Drive BIAB /RB 2014 loaded entirely on a 120 GB partician of the TB external drive. Leaves tons of room for all business and music applications. I can tell you the hardest thing was getting all of BIAB 2014 onto the external drive. Need help from support. But it was doable. Only see one downside at this moment – seems my Forte-Dxi will not register with BIAB fully loaded on the external drive (just says it is expired and will not accept the registration code). But I will work that out. 
BIAB – 2025, Reaper (current), i7-12700F Processor, 32GB DDR4-3200MHz RAM, 1TB WD Black NVMe SSD, 2TB WDC Blue SSD, 1TB WD Blue, 2 TB SK NVMe, 6 TB External, Motu Audio Express 6x6
