What command are you using to "render down" ? You should use one of the "Merge Audio" commands in the Audio menu. If you're just dragging an individual track to the desktop or something, then you will likely just get a copy of the raw audio track itself.

Just a little background I have been a Power Tracks 'fan' since the first versions on floppies!

So it was a bit disconcerting to have this problem with 2014.

Then to not be able to undo what 2014 did was distressing. As a workaround I dug out an old XP tower and installed M-Audio pro tracks and Power Tracks 2013 on it to get me through the current project. Everything else in 2014 works great, the new desk top is perfect, had it mastered in a couple of days.

I am recording a Quartet on a Yamaha AW1600 using all 8 tracks
then into 2013/2014 to edit. All functions save properly to seq so onto a USB stick and into the "new" 2013 machine to mix down to stereo.
