Okay i did play around with the bass line and it was super easy to take the guitar part and turn it into a bass midi file. just copied the audio track into a midi track now that being said i didn't try with a pattern that had chords and did do a little minor tweaking of notes, but all in all very happy with result.. ill try the drum pattern next..... the real power is you can easily create some interesting things ie turning a guitar part into a synth line... oh and melodyne editor is like 400 dollars or so no change in my pocket to purchase that anytime soon.................

reply to Noel96.... yes i am fully aware of the huge amount of midi styles, but they don't always fit an idea... some of the music i put out i have to do by hand ie sequenced via piano roll... so putting it down as an audio file with my guitar and converting it saves me a lot of time where before i would have to write note by note....
