Stuck in a hotel room, but I do have my lappy/DAW and my Oxygen 49 keyboard with me.

Scott Lake - Unsustainable

Another Hotel Room Projects track. Mixed on in-ear monitors from Westone.

No sustain pedal available.

Probably could use some chord progressions, but just messing around with some synths I haven't touched in months.

Enjoy or destroy.

I definitely enjoyed it.

When you are at the checkout line and they ask if you found everything say "Why, are you hiding stuff?"

Good post-rock electronica. Nice work. We don' need no steenkin' chord progressions!

Nice one Scott. I loved the dry drums sounds. Great piece all round!

Nice track Rockstar not.
A well done track, but I was missing a "screaming" guitar and a vocal?

Best regards

Hi Scott ,

It's a definitely enjoy. You have some great synthsounds going - I tried doing a song like that using the BIAB styles (Techno) but only limited success. Nothing like the real thing. Great playing.

Scott,

I dig the "stuck in a hotel room" project, thoug I'm surmising you didn't use much or any of the BiaB tracks on this tune. It has a nice ethereal feel and when it first started I got a twinge of Thomas Dolby which was cool. We may have to set a month long reservation for you to record a CD

I would like to at least add some guitars, but in the hotel room where I'm staying, all I have is an M-Audio Oxygen 49 controller keyboard, my laptop, and some in-ear monitor headphones.

No guitars or mics available. Not even a sustain pedal for the keyboard.

So this was just a little experiment with some VSTi.

Once I move my family/household out here in a couple weeks, and I get settled in, then the guitar stuff may get added to it.

I am looking foreward to hear the finnished tune Rockstar_not.
Like I said, the track is well done and I think it could WERRY VELL be used as it is as a backing track for a slide show or a short video ( for example adwertizing) where the music is not suposed to take focus from the visuell stuff.

Best regards
