Hi I have an SGU in which I want the tune to actually stop at the end of Bar92 - see pic. It doesnt stop - it runs on and completes its ending at the end of Bar93. IF I change it to Bar 90 (from 91 up in the top box), the chords in Bar91 don't play as shown - they just continue with the Bb as if they werent there. I have 2 bar ending checked. What am I doing wrong please?! cheers ian

Ian - if you want that A in 92 to be the last chord, make it a hold (A...) then set the end to 93 and make it an all rest (A.) and 94 an all stop (A.)
If you want that last held A chord to really "ring", add some more measures after the held A... - say 4 bars - so it holds for a while, then set the end to 98 and add the A. and A. to those last 2 bars - so nothing plays.
if you want that chord played for the entire measure, just make 93 your end with and all stop (A.) and 94 an all stop (A.)
I have a new tune I'm working on which is similar. I set the song preferences to NO ENDING..either 2 bar or 4 bar... and then simply made the last chord a hold and added 4 measures to let it fade. Of course, I will envelope that fade in the DAW a bit faster....

Also checking what the Song Settings are for Endings, does it make a difference if the Start Ending 2 bars early is checked?

Ian, I would either follow Guitarhackers or Floyd's suggestions as I do their suggestions a lot in my songs OR make the ending, using the 4 bar ending, on say bar 93 or 94. That way you get bar 91, A Bb A Bb, followed by a few bars of A and then the BIAB ending. Then "drag and drop" all the RTs and drums to your DAW and edit/remove the extra bars of A in order that the final chord of A is where you want it, at bar 92.
My "music computer" is not on so I cannot check my suggestion but my advice is to arrange the song in order that you get the chord A at bar 92, followed by the 4 bar ending in A, and then edit in your DAW.
