BIAB will do Rockabilly, Jive and Swing as well. The really cool thing about BIAB is that you can mix and match styles to get what you want.

There is a money-back offer with the program. What do you have to lose? smile

Check out the "User Showcase" section. All kinds of styles done by forum members. For Rockabilly, you might want to check out this one:

According to Rodney, he's using "...Real Tracks Bass and Drums..." on that track. Rockabilly doesn't need much more than that; think Stray Cats.

Again, with the money-back guarantee, what do you have to lose? Be warned, though - BIAB is an addiction. You could neglect your job, family, everything. grin

thanks for all the reply's minds made up gonna get it.....

please can some one advise me of a good sound card?
still running xp and the card in it is a sound blaster that what came with the pc when i got it.yes its a gaming card hence the change.
what i would like the advice on is just the play back of the card as i do not need it for recording as i use another pc for this which i am happy with so all i really need to achieve is a good output sound .
i wouild prefer an internal card.
thanks tj

tj,

For playback only your SB card should be fine. BIAB is still 32 bit, so you won't gain any quality by upgrading to a 64 bit card. Your money might be better spent on your recording computer.

Welcome aboard TJ . . . . already some sound advise. All I can add is get ready to look at music in a new light after you start using BIAB, in a good way of course.

i use sonar 8.5 to do my work on but was wondering if you could recommend a good vocal vst to give a good rockabilly sound for the vox.
i am happy with the effects i use but would like to expand a little if there is a good vst for that sound
thanks tj

Try the Sonitus reverb in Sonar 8.5. I believe they have a decent slap-back setting. You'll have to play around with the delay times to get what you want. Here's a thread that covers that topic:

p.s. Here are some free delays you might want to try:

p.p.s. Here's a delay that some people like.
