I'm looking at my rack in my 'studio' and I realize I have some gear in there that I haven't turned on in a year. In addition to that, my financial resources aren't what they used to be.
I am looking to sell a couple of pieces of equipment that would be well suited for the more professional musician here, someone who is looking for pristine sound, transparency in that sound, and a well earned reputation behind the name.
I have for sale a Lavry Engineering 4496-21. This is a 1U high rackmount system in the LavryBlue family, with two channels of A/D conversion, two channels of D/A conversion, and two channels of Mic Pre. The device is modular, so you can remove the MicPre if you wish and add another two channels of A/D and D/A, or remove the MicPre and add the D/A and add six more channels of A/D, for a total of 8. All inputs and outputs are XLR connectors, the A/D having two analog inputs and one digital output, the D/A having one digital input and two analog outputs, and the Mic Pre having two analog ins and two analog outs. Included is the MSync module which is the time piece for the A/D converter, and can also be used to drive other devices with BNC clock inputs on them. The MSync also will receive BNC Word Clock input. I've had this unit for a few years now, and before shipping, I will go over the unit and make sure that it meets factory specifications and that there is nothing wrong with any of the modules.
This is a current product in the Lavry Engineering catalog, and the Retail price on it is $3,500. While mine functions perfectly, there are scratches and stuff on the chassis, and it looks used. It is. I am asking $2,250 for it.
Secondly, I have a 1U high rack mount kit with a Lavry Engineering AD10 and DA10 installed in it. This is a package deal. Both items are again, fully functional, although the cases may show some signs of wear. The DA10 in this case is from the very first run of product, and the rear panel is labeled incorrectly for the outputs. The left and right outputs are reversed from what it says they are. Not a big problem. The headphone jack, on the front, is correct. The DA10 will accept AES/EBU XLR input, TOSLINK Optical Input and RCA Coaxial input, the later two being S/PDIF. The AD10 is Lavry Engineering's first 'LavryBlack' A/D converter, and is actually newer than the LavryBlue 4496-21 above. As such, the Total Harmonic Distortion Plus Noise level is better by about 4-5dB, giving you an un-weighted noise floor of about -118dBr, at full scale, no input. It has 'Combo' jacks on the back which support both XLR and T/S and T/R/S plugs. There is XLR for AES/EBU output, an XLR to RCA adapter for Coax S/PDIF and an TOSLINK Optical output. This particular unit may have been a damaged unit that was returned to Lavry Engineering and was repaired. It has performed flawlessly for me, and as with the 4496-21, I will verify that both units are well within the factory specifications before shipping them out. The DA10 is now discontinued in favor of the DA11, however, the AD10 is still current in Lavry Engineering's catalog. For both the AD10 and the DA10, I am requesting $1,400. Included in that will be the mounting kit for mounting both units in a 1U high space in your rack. I will NOT break this set apart. The AD10 retails for over my asking price, and the DA10 was last sold at almost $1,100.
If you are looking to take the next step up into sonic purity, then this is a step to take. You won't be disappointed.
If there is no response, I will be listing these items on Ebay in a week or so.
Please, PLEASE feel free to send me a PM for any other information. I will attempt to have photos up later on this week.
Shipping will be whatever it costs, and will go UPS Ground, unless you want to pay more for it.
Regards,
Gary

I'm blessed watching God do what He does best. I've had a few rough years, and I'm still not back to where I want to be, but I'm on the way and things are looking far better now than what they were!

Must be tough times... who knows. I could put up some gear I probably will never use again as well... maybe Ebay, or the likes would be a good place.
I hear ya about finances... I am being layed off in 4 months, having worked for the same company for going on 22 years...
Anyway, good luck on your items.

Yeah Mike, it's going to go up on ebay next week, I think. I still haven't gotten around to doing the photos, I'll probably do those today.
It's great gear, but I think it's probably way overpriced for people here.
