I've been playing around David Bailey's Fake Disk from Norton Music and I decided I needed basically the same thing for the Just Jazz book I have.

So, I got to the second song, Ain't Misbehavin', and I'm using some of the J_Basie styles.

Since I'm going this for my keyboard, I want to go ahead and put in my own patches. Not a problem, I know how to do that. Here's the problem. Chorus 2, I want to use the J!~Basin.sty, and I want to use a trumpet ensemble or a solo trumpet for the strings part, which is now a brass section. One octave too low. frown

Is there any way that I'm not aware of that will allow me to transpose a BIAB part up an octave for a number of bars, in this case a part marker, and then transpose it back down?

I don't want to create a .mid file and do it in a sequencer, I want it to stay native in BIAB. This way, if I take the patches out and put in standard GM or GM2 patches, it can be shared with anyone.

I'm blessed watching God do what He does best. I've had a few rough years, and I'm still not back to where I want to be, but I'm on the way and things are looking far better now than what they were!
