This is a really beautiful song. I like the instrumentation you have now.
If I could make one suggestion it would be to add some realism to the piccolo. By realism I mean have some volume changes like when one starts to blow into the piccolo and a fad out when one runs out of air. That coupled with some vibrato in spots would make it sound more real IMHO.
But even if you don’t change a thing this is one great song.
