My first suggestion would be to change the time sig to 3/4 on the original project and save the BiaB file right away. (Save As)

Then open that file and see if it is indeed 3/4 all the way through and if the visual clues make sense.

If so, then try ACW.
This would help test whether the initial import of the mp3 file was affected by the tempo/time signature changes right afterwards.

In my experience, PGMusic products handle audio as a 'triggered event' on a MIDI time scale.
Sometimes this can be very helpful .. sometimes not.

Perhaps saving the time change first will help with the adjustments that follow.
