Matt Finley Veteran Joined: Jul 2000 Posts: 27,033 Hudson Valley & Lake George NY	I know one local restaurant that stopped having live music after an attempt by BMI to collect more than they could afford. Most of the musicians who played there did covers. However, my wife, who plays primarily originals registered with BMI, lost a regular job in the rotation. Irony? Yes, we each get checks from BMI but together they won't buy a sandwich. Ever been to the palace that is BMI headquarters in Nashville? BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.
