Hi All! I've been away for a while...good to see some familiar names still on the forums! Hopefully someone can help me with this problem...

I have a friend who uses Karaoke tracks and now has BB. She has asked if I could put her Karaoke tracks into band in a box so she can see the changes go by AND use her iPad or iPhone which, of course means using the Audio Chord Wizard and then getting those files into the mobile app. I have done the ACW and gotten the changes correct and have kept the Karaoke audio files in BIAB so she can hear them the way she is used to...
Problem: When I try to make a "_render" file for the mobile app to load by putting the files into bbtogo folder it doesn't show me the audio file and the .SGU ...it tells me it has created the "_render" successfully but it isn't there....so, it can't be used with the mobile app...
I hope I explained that well...if not, I will try harder. Have any of you that perform tried to do this? Successfully?
Thanks!
Ken

I think I understand the question, Ken; your description is clear. I have never worked with Karaoke files, though, and can't hazard a guess. Perhaps call up PG Music and ask them? If it turns out it isn't supported, then this would make a reasonable Wishlist item.

Anyone else know the answer here?

Thanks Matt!
Actually the Karaoke file was only the .wav ... no lyrics involved. I forgot to mention that...sorry. I used the AWC to interpret the .wav and then couldn't figure out how to keep it attached to the .SGU...doh!

Yes, I was pretty sure you would lose lyrics. Glad that isn't a concern.

The .WAV file must have the same name as the .SGU file for them to play together in BIAB. Example mysong2.wav and mysong2.sgu

Wow Matt,

I think that's the first time since I have been on here you were almost stump'd by a biab question smile

Just teasing

Actually that was some good info there now I just realized with that info I can easily pull a recorded audio file out of a song if needed

Ha. There's stumped, and then there's stumped.

Most of time I don't understand something, I ask for more info rather than guessing. If I think I understand but don't know the answer (the known unknowns!) I recommend contacting PG Music Support. It is my impression that none of us really understand ALL that is BIAB.
