Kudos to Peter & Co. for a great update and retooling of BIAB for Mac! I love the new GUI and the new Real Tracks sound really good. And User Tracks . . . sweet! Thank you for continuing to bring BIAB Mac closer to parity with the Windows version.

Same with me! Looks, no, sounds better than before (something changed under the hood?), pushes and holds work better than ever and sound now realistic. I´ve been using BiaB Mac for many years and war really eager to get the new version. I got it on saturday and been fiddeling/fooling around with it nearly all the time. Really nice!
If I can do a complaint:
how do I manage to back from (f.e.) bar 90 to bar 1? Is this function missing/forgotten or am I doing something wrong?
And ..... the new mixer is nice, but (to me) it would be very helpful, to have a button or slider, to set reverb to Zero for mixdown/exporting. I like to have no reverb on single instruments before mixdown, and to me the old version of the mixer was better on resetting the reverb for all the tracks at once.
But all in all, as all the years before, it was really worth the money.

Thanks for the nice comments.
Tscharles, for the 'dry' rendering, have you tried right clicking (ctrl-clicking or double clicking) on the Master radio button, and choosing "Flat-Dry-and Center". That sets volumes to 90, pan to middle, and reverbs to zero, so files are ready for rendering for a mixdown setting.

Ha! That's it! Nothing left to say except: Thank you very much! By the way: the boss himself is answering! That - to me - is a completely new experience. I was used to get very good assistance through livehelp with the very few problems I had with BiaB over the years, but this .... really nice!

Hi,
I agree that the new version sounds so good and the updated interface is perfect. Used in combination with Garageband the Mac version is certainly very good indeed.The improvements over version 2013 certainly makes the update worth while and good value for money.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
