I have a song {steel guitar rag} 165bpm and the count in clicks come too fast once you hit play. I am making a rendered wave files for live performance and I barely have time to get my hands on my dobro with this song. Here are my questions

1.Is there a way to put one measure of silence before the count-in?

2.Is there a way to make the count in clicks louder if you want to?

thanks in advance

Transfer it to Real Band and render the tracks into audio there. It will render them automatically when you load the BB file. If the style has a drummer in it, you should get the 1...2...1,2,3,4 count in on the drum track. It will be in the first 2 measures and the song will start in M3.

Use "amplify" or "normalize" or a volume envelope on that first 2 measure section to get the count in to the volume you need.

If the style does not have a drummer.... use RB to add one just for the count in and use envelopes to remove the rest of the drum track.

In BB I'm not aware of a way to add blank measures of silence at the beginning.... although someone else may know.... It is totally doable in Real Band or any other DAW.

I use Reaper split the time at the end of the clicks and then raise the volume of the intro and then render it form there. that is what I have been doing, i will have to re-read your message to get a handle on that but without rendering I am assuming that their is no way to raise the volume of the the lead in click track

Sure there is.

I make MIDI click lead ins loud enough to hurt when recording drum tracks with live drummers! Open your file in RB.
(yes you can open the BiaB file in RB)

Use Edit- Insert measures (or close) to insert a couple measures at the beginning so you have time to grab the dobro ... or just pick it up before hitting record.

Then copy/paste the click count-in section to its own Track (using a new blank track).

If the click is MIDI;
Assign that track to it's own instance of the synth by using 'right-click' and selecting Port .. choose an empty Port (there are about 15 available probably down at the bottom of the list) then assign that port to a second instance of the synth being used. You need to do this so the next steps don't affect any of your other tracks that are using the original instance of the synth. You'll catch on once you do it.

Now assign PGPeakLimit to the second box down in the DX FX area.
To do this look to the left end of the track, click the little down pointing arrow and select DX FX, and when it opens make sure your synth selection (the top box of the four) shows the desired synth, and in the second box down insert the PGPeakLimit.
Set the PGPeakLimit to be LOUD by boosting the gain slider.

Sometimes I go ahead and convert the click to audio so I can boost it even more, but this should get it good and loud for you.

Key info:
1.Assign a separate track to a sepearate instance of the synth (if MIDI) so the next effect only affects what you want it to.

2.Understand that the top box in the DX FX area on MIDI tracks is for the synth .. but the next three boxes can be used for audio FX on the sound produced by that synth.
So it is possible to use audio FX in real time on MIDI tracks with a little effort.

TBH I usually make a true click track (audio) and boost it until the drummer winces during recording sessions .. but this method described above has been used many times in the past also.

Usual workflow now:
I created a file called click.mid that I simply import into any seq file. It adjusts to any tempo. It also is 100 measures of MIDI sidestick (on the beat) and is set to have the '1' be volume = 127 (max) and 2-3-4 have volume at about 116.
I copy or cut this new track to the needed length for a given song.
I then convert it to an audio track and end up with a real click track to work with. Then I can use PGPeakLimit (twice or thrice if needed) or use other limiters/EQ at will to cut through any mix .. but that's just how I do it. YMMV
