There is something weird going on: If I try to save a BIAB song to the top level of any one of my hard drives using “Save” or “Save song as” from BIAB’s File menu, I can’t. The song appears to not get saved, and is nowhere to be found on the drive. Mysteriously, if I choose “Save song as midi file” from the same file menu, the song is saved to the hard drive just as I would expect -- there it is. But of course, I want to be able to save the .SGU file. As a workaround, I discovered quite by accident that if I save a BIAB song to a folder on one of my hard drives (one that already exists, or one that I create on the fly with the “New Folder” button that appears as I’m saving the song) the song does get saved. But this glitch is weird -- I’ve never experienced it in any other program. I suppose it's a better practice to save to a folder anyway. But unfortunately, I ended up not being able to save, and thus losing, several songs I wanted to keep before I figured out the problem. Anybody else experience this? I’m running BIAB Mac Version 2014 Build 80 on a Mac Mini with a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 and 16 GB of RAM, with OS X 10.9.3. The issue applies regardless of which drive I'm trying to save to, regardless of manufacturer.

As a related issue, it also appears to be impossible to use File Utilities to render a song to audio, if you want the render folder to be stored on the top level of your hard drive -- you must select a folder on the drive as the destination, first.
