Latency with MME is by design. It uses larger buffers to smooth things out and lighten the load on the system resources. For lower latency try using the ASIO drivers for the device (as described by Mario) or ASIO4All. Thanks, having major problems with latency with mme. JZ New drivers won't fix MME latency, but using ASIO (instead of MME) often will. Just a bit more drain on the system and sometimes a little more fussy to initially set up .. but worth it when needed.
