I have used several versions of SamplTank over the years and, as many will have had, received notification of version 3 release. It seems that there is a 64 bit version only which creates problems with RealBand.

I Emailed PGMusic support and received the following reply:

I have been advised that Sampletank version 3 is about to be released. This release is intended for PCs which supports 64 bit processing. My PC is both 32 and 64 bit compatible and should be OK, BUT will RealBand, which is 32 bit, be able to handle the DXi/VSTi plugins without conflict. I would expect that the new Sampletank could be run in the Standalone mode.

Could you please advise your thoughts on the matter before I proceed to update from Sampletank 2.5.

Lyn.

Hi Lyn,

A 64-bit plugin will not work in RealBand normally, so if there's no 32-bit version of SampleTank 3, you'd have to run it as a stand-alone application, export your tracks from RealBand into a 64-bit DAW and use SampleTank there, or use an adapter like jBridge, which allows 64-bit plugins to work in a 32-bit program, and vice versa. We haven't tested jBridge with any of our software but it would probably work.

Thank you

Can anyone add to the above or has used "jbridge" or similar in RealBand.
