Innanzitutto un saluto a tutti gli amici del Forum !
Personalmente non ho ancora deciso l'acquisto di Band in a Box poichè voglio prima dissipare alcuni dubbi : Ho letto un po' tutto lo scibile a proposito del programma, però non è chiaro se le "composizioni" che scaturiscono dal " MELODISTA " sono realmente casuali e quindi irripetibili da parte di un altro urente, in parole povere : UNICHE ed INEDITE. Questo anche usufruendo degli automatismi a disposizione e quindi, al limite, senza inserire nuovi accordi e usando gli accordi,gli stili ecc del programma. Stesso dubbio per il " SOLISTA" .
Altra domanda : Mi capita di comporre ed armonizzare partiture per cori a 4 - 5 voci ( specie per coro polifonico o per cori della montagna ) : fino ad ora mi sono arrangiato con grande fatica ed a orecchio, aiutandomi con il pianoforte... Non ho studiato musica e quello che sono riuscito a fare mi è costato fatica ( lavoro come tecnico disegnatore 3D)... Esite un programma che riesca ad armonizzare una melodia ?? Ad esempio, scrivo la notazione della melodia (e le parole) ed il programma mi armonizza (secondo le regole dell'armonia) le altre 3 o 4 voci polifoniche ?

Come descritto nelle FAQ di PG Music con la nostra copia di Band-in-a-Box possiamo realizzare Songs complete e rivendicarne la paternità, dal punto di vista legale nessuno può contestare alcunché, ma ...
le melodie create dal programma, pur se generate ogni volta l'una diversa dall'altra (secondo metodi complessi che non sono in grado di spiegarti), si basano tutte su stili prestabiliti, ispirati a vari compositori o a composizioni esistenti. La probabilità che queste melodie (e di conseguenza il risultato melodico ed estetico delle Songs) si assomiglino è molto alto, alle volte così tanto da far apparire una Song interamente copiata da un'altra.
Quindi nessuno può garantirti che non siano già state create da qualcun altro delle Songs estremamente simili a quelle che hai creato tu con BiaB.
Aggiungerei inoltre che la decisione se considerare nostre o no le Songs generate dev'essere il risultato di un'analisi intima, personale, individuale, ognuno di noi è libero (almeno per ora in Italia è ancora così!) di valutarne tutti gli aspetti, legali, morali, estetici.

certo!! Band-in-a-Box lo può fare benissimo, c'è un Menu dedicato (visibile in alto assieme a tutti gli altri Menu del Programma) e più velocemente, sempre nella parte alta della finestra del software ma verso destra c'è un pulsantino M con a fianco un Menu a tendina che ti permette di scegliere il tipo di armonizzazione (ne esistono già molte ed alcune sono veramente interessanti).

Ciao Sergio,ti ringrazio per la rapida risposta. Il mio problema però è di genere diverso.. Ti spiego : quando armonizzi una partitura per coro ( voci umane ) , parti da una melodia formata da una linea di voce all'unisono, ipotesi per soprani (inventata nuova nuova..) ispirata su un testo (oppure adatti un testo all'armonia creata...dipende..); il problema è armozizzare la linea melodica con altre 3 (o 4) tracce melodiche da attribuire ad altrettante voci umane ( contralti - tenori - bassi ). Tale armonizzazione ( pur generata Random ) dovrebbe essere conforme le leggi dell'armonia. Quindi, in questo caso, non interessano linee di basso,batteria,pianoforte e note a gò-gò ma semplici semplici linee melodiche che , riunite alla linea melodica originale, formino l'assieme del brano armonizzato. Tutto quì ! Mi pare che il tasto "M" cui tu accenni, sia riferito al Melodista che, in teoria, dovrebbe generare assiemi strumentali complssi, tipo jezz ecc.., il che non interessa (nel caso specifico ).
Se invece il programma è in grado di fare quello che intendo (in teoria dovrebbe essere più semplice..) ti prego di farmelo sapere.

Temo un malinteso! non vorrei essermi spiegato male: per tasto M non intendevo l'Icona con la lettera M e la scritta Melodist, prova a guardare quest'immagine forse ti è più chiaro a quale menu mi riferivo. Se vuoi potresti ascoltare questo mp3 choir sample , è un mio vecchio esperimento, non ci sono strumenti, solo 4 tracce melodiche create secondo i crismi dell'armonia e utilizzando solo BiaB. Avevo pensato ti riferissi alla possibilità di creare cose simili. Fammi sapere se sbaglio ancora. Sergio

Esatto ! E' proprio quello che intendevo. Una curiosità : come hai fatto a creare le voci umane ? Da dove si possono ricavare ? ( sembrano quasi scaturire da un programma tipo Easr West Symphonic Choirs... ). O forse si può fare tutto con BiaB ? Scusa se approfitto della tua disponibilità, ma allo stato attuale, non sò a che santo votarmi...!

Ciao Paolo,
i suoni sono stati ottenuti col Plugin Steinberg Hypersonic 2 (un virtual synth).
E' sicuramente fattibile con Band-in-a-Box stesso anche se io ormai divido sempre il lavoro tra BiaB e Sonar, ti spiego all'incirca come ho ottenuto il sample che hai ascoltato.
Una volta che BiaB ha creato la Song, gli ho ammutolito tutte le tracce tranne la melodia che ho poi testato con vari tipi di armonizzazioni tra quelle proposte dal software stesso.
La cosa interessante è che la traccia melodia può essere modificata nella finestra di notazione senza timore che il programma la rielabori a modo suo (come fa invece con le tracce d'accompagnamento).
Individuata l'armonia che mi piaceva ho salvato il file anche in formato midi, in questo modo automaticamente BiaB divide la melodia in tracce separate, 2, 3 o 4 in funzione del tipo d'armonizzazione scelta.
Ho aperto il file con Sonar dove ho ritoccato qualche nota, lavorato sui suoni delle varie tracce, inserito equalizzazione e reverbero.
Se ti servisse qualche altro chiarimento non c'è problema,

Ho letto questo dialogo circa l'armonizzazione di una parte melodica.
Mi pare di capire si riferisca ad una parte registrata nella traccia MELODY.
Ho provato anche l'armonizzazione di una parte AUDIO e funziona molto bene!
Non ho però capito se in questo caso è poi possibile stampare o visualizzare le singole voci in notazione separata.

Non è possibile visualizzare la notazione di tracce audio, solo tracce midi.
Facciamo degli esempi:
1) crei una melodia con il generatore di BiaB (ignoriamo le RealTracks al momento), la converti in una armonia, puoi visualizzare e stampare dal programma la partitura in tracce separate, è anche possibile modificare nella finestra di notazione alcune note anche di una singola traccia dell'armonia creata (qui aggiungo un appunto personale: il software mi mostra la modifica a video, me la fa sentire ma non la riporta nella partitura, sto' ancora cercando di capire se è un bug del programma o se sbaglio io qualche passaggio);
2) crei una melodia con il generatore di BiaB ma utilizzando una RealTrack (ipotizziamo un trombone), puoi convertirla in armonia (ad esempio 2 voci tromba e trombone), se il file RealTrack utilizzato ti permette la visualizzazione in notazione (in tal caso il nome della traccia in alto nella finestra del software sarà sottolineato) puoi operare esattamente come nell'esempio precedente;
3) crei una traccia audio da strumento esterno (synth, chitarra, voce, ecc.), è possibile armonizzarla, mi sembra fino a 4 parti, ma non è possibile visualizzare e stampare una partitura della medesima.
