Hmmm, I have Win 7 64 Ultimate and everything was there the first time I turned it on. Biab was the first music program I ran and it was perfect. Maybe other versions don't automatically install WMP? But if you're right and it no longer automatically installs, then the first thing I would do is install it because I know that it has all the codecs you need. Seriously as soon as you realized that's what was missing it would have taken less time to install it than messing around in this forum.

If someone doesn't want the basic MS stuff, fine but imho it hurts you in the long run, it sure doesn't hurt anything to have WMP. I also use Media Player Classic and VLC. No conflicts at all.

I also use Windows Media Center to run my home theater system including using an HD Prime 3 tuner cablecard USB box through FIOS with a 25" HDMI cable going to my 55" big screen in the living room. I'm writing this on it now. I hardly use my 32" in the bedroom any more. With all this stuff, no conflicts at all, Biab runs fine.

I don't know for sure of course but I think most of the weird problems people have with Biab is because they want to get cute with their systems and do things "their way". Just let Windows do it's thing and don't worry about it.
