I do the same as Papa. I'm finding a lot of MIDI files have been created in some fashion as to cause them to not be quite in sync. probably done on the fly. I actually don't usually save anything unless there is an instrumental "hook" that's important to the song. I only will use the piano part from the style and then plug in RTs
