I am getting a new subwoofer that only has a single LFE input. However, my stereo amplifier does not have a sub out. My first thought was to use tape monitor output on the amp but realize the output level would always be constant causing problems when changing overall volume.
I read about a solution that uses the high level speaker output on the amp using some sort of converter.
Can anyone give me a recommendation on the converter necessary?
Thank you You can use the tape outs to the sub, they are line level outputs. You will have to carefully set the crossover on the sub though. It is explained in the manual. The optimal solution would be to get an amp with a dedicated LFE. Nice sub, by the way.
