The original recording was done on a Fostex 4 track cassette recorder in 1994. I recorded this new 2014 Band in a Box version 2 days ago. The vocals were recorded with an AKG D 310 microphone. The relatively short time it took to create this (approximately a total of 8 hours), and the improved quality is one of the many examples of the power of Band in a Box. As a comparison I included the link to the original version at the end of this post. If you're not Dutch, Belgian or German the lyrics probably won't make much sense. Therefore I included an English translation. Being from South African and Afrikaans being similar to Dutch I could pick up a few of the lyrics but was glad of the translation! Isn't it interesting what you can create in 8 hours using BIAB. I enjoyed both versions. And you guys are are such good songwriters and vocalists. I (Alan) speak fairly good German and given the subtle similarities of the two languages, I was able to understand parts of the Dutch. His latest video, Convert MIDI Chords into AI Vocal Harmonies with ACE Studio and Band-in-a-Box, he explains in detail how you can use the Melodist feature in Band-in-a-Box with ACE Studio. Follow along as he goes from "nothing" to "something" with his Band-in-a-Box MIDI Melodist track, using ACE Studio to turn it into a vocal track (or tracks, you'll see) by adding lyrics for those notes that will trigger some amazing AI vocals!
