The original recording was done on a Fostex 4 track cassette recorder in 1994. I recorded this new 2014 Band in a Box version 2 days ago. The vocals were recorded with an AKG D 310 microphone. The relatively short time it took to create this (approximately a total of 8 hours), and the improved quality is one of the many examples of the power of Band in a Box. As a comparison I included the link to the original version at the end of this post. If you're not Dutch, Belgian or German the lyrics probably won't make much sense. Therefore I included an English translation. And you guys are are such good songwriters and vocalists. I (Alan) speak fairly good German and given the subtle similarities of the two languages, I was able to understand parts of the Dutch. In a way it's easier for us to compose in our own language, however we love the English language. We find it more subtle and melodic in a way.
