How do you setup and use BBMac09 and DAW on your Mac?

I use BBMac09 and Logic Express, along with a Roland SonicCell and an Alesis MultiMix Firewire 12 mixer. I play BB MIDI through the IAC bus straight into Logic. In logic, I use 16 External MIDI tracks straight into my SonicCell synth. This allows me to record all the MIDI events (including the higher patches) straight into Logic, which gives me an 'as happened' recording of the MIDI. Of course, I can also dump the RT/RD tracks and import them into separate audio tracks in Logic. From there, I can then do final mixes and tweaks of the MIDI events inside of Logic.

Yeah, I know, I can save the BB song as a midi file; I never quite get the result I want, and it's the same amount of work to get it imported into Logic and manually map the higher patches. By piping my MIDI events through my DAW, I can use BB as my primary interface for choosing patches, tweaking style, etc. That way, I make it sound 99% right in BB and I know I've captured it accuratly in my DAW (which means it's reproducible).

Oh, and while we're at it, I'm curious if anyone else is (or expects to be) using 100% Mac software for their DAW.

Do you expect to be 100% Mac within the year?
