Honestly don't know. I don't record in BIAB as I save that for a DAW. I know my DAW would not do that. And I assume RB would not do that also, but BIAB is a different creature. BIAB tends to like to act smarter than the user and much of the time it could likely be. We know it handles all the default reverb and balancing and FX for mixing the tracks. So it would not surprise me that it also adjusts levels if a audio file is included.

Regarding needing to have your ears check? That I don't now grin .
