I would give a reply on that, too.
I would be in favour of that suggestion.
Maybe PeterGannon is right on that, when you see it from a mathematical, technical point of view as a BIAB programmer. But when you want to print the score, then the ability of 12/8 should be possible, especially if you want to use BIAB for classical music.
