If you don't have Audacity yet, I would recommend it. You can load the .wav or .mp3 file, go to the effects menu and select Noise Removal. Find a small portion of the file that has a hum, hiss, or low amount of noise, highlight that, and Get Noise Sample. Then, select the whole file, and select Remove Noise.

It takes that sample, and removes anything like it in the whole file.
